Teemu Saukkonen “Love and light”

Exhibition of Teemu Saukkonen’s paintings at Tampere House on May 31, 2018!

An exhibition of mixed-art paintings by Tampere artist Teemu Saukkonen will be opened at Tampere House(Jaani 4, Tartu) on Thursday, May 31 at 5 p.m. The theme of the exhibition is light, color and small romantic plots.

Saukkonen’s works are sensitive. They have both a surreal narrative and landscape views. The result is abstract and absurd images. “Paintings tell a story about something that is small but also very big,” the artist reveals the background of his works.

Teemu Saukkonen (born 1954) lives and works in Tampere. His works are in several collections, for example in the Helsinki Museum of Modern Art in Kiasma, the Amos Anderson Art Museum and the art museums in Espoo, Helsinki, Tampere and Turku.

Teemu Saukkonen received the Anita Snellman Art Foundation Award this year.

Tampere House gallery is open daily from 9am to 6pm. Free entrance!
