“Sauna people”
The documentary photo exhibition “Sauna People” by Finnish photographer Heli Blåfield will be opened at the Tampere House Gallery in Tartu on January 9 at 5 pm. The exhibition is organized by the Finnish Institute. The exhibition will remain open until February 16, 2020.
The artist went to sauna all over Finland, a total of almost 13,000 kilometers have been covered. The exhibition provides a cross-section of the modern Finnish sauna tradition and delves deeper into the Finnish nature.
The exhibition is based on the book Saunavuoro (Sauna Procedure), a collaboration between Heli and his writer brother, Ville Blåfield. The work was published in March 2019.

A documentary photo exhibition of Finnish sauna culture can be viewed at the Tampere House Gallery (Jaani 4) 09.-31.01.2020. The gallery is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. Free entrance!
