Aino’s Story

Sabrina ja Saarten tyttäret are bringing Aino’s Story to Tartu! The concert experience Aino’s Story will take place at Tampere Maja on the 20th of April 20204 at 14.00.

Aino’s Story is a unique and comprehensive concert experience performed by vocal collective Sabrina ja Saarten tyttäret. Combining acapella, live electronics and drama in a magical way, the piece is based on the famous Finnish national epic Kalevala about a young woman facing the life’s greatest decisions and pressures.

Aino’s Story seamlessly blends together the acapella harmonies of Sabrina ja Saarten tyttäret with musician Johannes Kaira’s live electronics. All music in the concert is composed by the vocal collective Sabrina ja Saarten tyttäret under the guidance of artistic director Sabrina Ljundberg.

Aino’s Story was recorded at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki during 2023 and the album was released in March 2024. The creation of Aino’s Story was supported by The Finnish Cultural Foundation, The Finnish Music Foundation, The Kalevala Society, The Helsinki City and The Otto A. Malm Foundation.
