The exhibition opens on Thursday, 4 June at 5 PM at the Ainola Centre Gallery (former Tampere House, Jaani 4). The exhibition will remain open until 19 July.

The artists participating in the exhibition have, through their creative process, become aware of the impermanence of the world. Their works reflect these quiet yet significant metamorphoses that shape both the creative process and the relationship with oneself and the surrounding world.

In addition to their artistic practice, the members of the atelier are engaged in creating an environment where one can experience safety, care, and warmth. Their collective aim is to make the Umbra Atelier, located in Tartu’s Old Town, into a place where a sense of community can emerge alongside individual creative work. Open exchange of ideas holds an important place, creating space for sharing thoughts free from prejudice and for simply enjoying being together. Within this unified and supportive environment, there is room both for creative abundance and for noticing and supporting one another.

Participating artists: Ingmar Roomets, Raido Randoja, Erika Aasa, Rainer Palu, Katariina Leets, Liisi Toom, Ekke Kaha, Elina Kuznetsova, and Egle Liiskmann.

The Umbra Atelier group exhibition “Quiet Metamorphoses” presents introspective works that explore both external and internal transformations.
